Using the search feature helps you quickly access information for a specific story, coworker, application, or SQL Server. The activity timeline allows you to find stories that occurred on a specific date, or use bookmarks to track stories.
In SQLdm Mobile, you can access Search from the Directory view.
By default, your search results are listed in descending order of relevance, with the most relevant finding at the top.
Use the Directory filter to sort your search results by applications, SQL Servers, or people.
The Search feature returns only 20 matches per result type (story, person, application, server). For example, if you search for "Bob", you will receive a list of the 20 most recent stories originated by or related to anyone named Bob, up to 20 coworkers with the letters "bob" in their names, and up to 20 servers whose names or status updates contain the phrase "bob".
To get better results, try to narrow your search as much as possible, using more detailed keywords or wildcards.
Older stories, disabled accounts, and decommissioned servers are automatically groomed from the SQLdm Mobile Repository on a periodic basis. Also keep in mind that the Search feature returns a limited number of matches.
After you have confirmed that the story, person, or server is still registered with SQLdm and Idera Newsfeed, try narrowing your search as much as possible, using more detailed keywords or wildcards.
